Come hither weary traveler fore you are safe within our midst. Let the heavenly illumination warm you as you read through the magical pages of the Virtual Story.

Many years ago in a land not so far away there was a beautiful place called "Jobsearch". This land was ruled by a tribe of people commonly known as "Headhunters". I lived with these people for a time so I might learn their ways.

They were a loud and annoying people with strange customs. They worshipped, above all else, a deity they called "Sales". Nobody knew where the "Headhunters" came from originally, but everyone had heard of them. Their language was also strange and was commonly known as "Buzzwords". Sometimes it seemed they didn't know what their own words or language meant. It seems that the common practice among these people was to lure visitors with the "Buzzwords" and flowers called "Perfectjob" and "Bigmoney". They would take visitors on a short tour promising lush environments with sights of wonder and riches, and then show the visitors ordinary places.

When the visitors didn't want to accept these as the most wonderful places on earth, the "headhunters" would beat the visitors with clubs made from "hardsell" until the visitors caved in or ran away afraid to ever return. The Headhunters took great joy in this process and boasted how often they could do this. When I asked if they didn't fear someone spreading the truth about what they did, they simply replied "the world is so big, no one will ever know!" and laughed among themselves.

Fortunately, I was able to escape unharmed and without accepting any of their customs. Being inspired by what I saw, I formed my vision of paradise, "Virtuallyhired". This paradise is founded on the notion of open, honest communication. The I/S marketplace is dominated by intelligent people. I believe in providing you the right information so that you may choose the path to your success.

I also believe that it's my job to give candidates and employers that information. My reputation has been built on developing long term relationships with applicants and companies by giving them what they don't expect... service. When Nu_Way receives a search assignment, I discuss information regarding the projects, the tools, platforms, the other players on the team, and how this work might affect the company operations or it's customers. I know the company's product or service lines, competitors, and the company "personality" or culture.

If a company client is unwilling to share this information, it probably means they have something they don't want people to know, or they think it might be perceived as a negative. I believe that information is neither negative or positive, and that the information is relevant, no matter what.

Why should someone have to "hard-sell" you on a position? Making a career choice is not like buying a car or some vacant land in Florida. You'll spend 40+ hours a week with this choice, so the information you'll make that choice from had better be good. Is that a decision you really want to take casually?

When I left the land of the "Headhunters" I vowed to create a better service for clients. Following Thomas Edison's famous quote, "If there is a way to do something better, FIND IT!" If you ve made it this far, YOU have found it. If you have made it this far you are Virtually Hired.
